Higher taxes for gay couples

Tax filling deadline is not everyone’s favorite day, especially for gay couple who according to an article by Laurel Mount in New Jersey, are paying higher taxes that everyone else. They reasoned that by stating gay couples do not get the federal tax benefits that come along with marriage. In the States where same sex marriages is not considered legal or recognized, filling the income taxes can involve working on three sets of paper work instead of just one.
This can be a serious issue for gay couples, since most of the States in the USA ban gay marriages. As a matter of fact, the only State that recognizes gay marriages as a legal bonding between gay couples is the State of Massachusetts, and it has been this way since 1997. Nine other States plus Washington DC offer some civil unions and domestic partnerships for gay couples which allow them to file taxes together as legal couple but not married; this way they can save money. However, even with these offers and assistances, the process of filling taxes for gay couples can get very complicated.

Now this is just wrong. The government doesnt agree with gay marriage so they cheat them out of certain things. They make them pay higher taxes just because theyre diffrent, that is just plain wrong. I think the governement might just be using the whole gay issue to get more money out of hard working people. What next, are they gonna take away rights and freedoms of the short people because were diffrent? Because most governement officials are tall will they do that, using an excuse to justify their actions. Im not gay but Im just sick of the goverment limiting the rights of the people. Lets just say Im a rebel with a cause.

This does not make any sense at all. Just because the law makers don't agree with something they make them pay higher taxes. I feel everyone should be able to live how they want to live (you only live once) without the burden of paying more taxes. To me gay couples are not any different than any other couple. They work the same, shower the same, drive the same and so on, so why should they have to pay their taxes any different than anyone else? This is just one more way of the government getting more money out of people so they can keep making their millions!
