Aussies unveil space-age swimsuits for Olympics
For the 2008 August Olympics in Beijing a new suit will be available for swimmers to wear. Speedo has come out with a LZR Racer suit that is supposed to have five percent less drag than previous suits. They worked with NASA,the Australian Institute of Sport and New Zealand's University of Otago, to help design the suit. Athletes were also taken more into consideration, which makes a lot of sense, and the suits are supposed to be comfortable to compete in.
I wonder who will actually end up wearing the suit? Obviously you have to consider the athlete themselves and their personal times, but it'll be interesting to see what the outcomes will be. How many people wearing the suit will win? How many will break records? Or break their personal records?
I guess we'll have to wait and see what the athletes have to say about the suits. Manufacturers can try and tell me all day about why something is better than another thing, but I think the most important thing will be how the athletes feel about them.http://sports.yahoo.com/olympics/news?slug=ap-olysuits021208&prov=yhoo&type=lgns

That would be really interesting to see what it actually looks and feels like, I wonder how much or if they are even giving these suits away to anyone. Not just for the Olympics, for any sports person in general. That's really cool, I'm glad they are working towards things for people like that.
