The Most Expensive Gas in America? High-Priced Gas in the Middle of Nowhere
James Willman pumps gas at the most expensive gas station in the country. (ABC News) By JOHN BERMAN and KARSON YIU March 26, 2008 Share Five dollars and 20 cents for a gallon of gas. The number says a lot. It may be the most expensive gas in America. But $5.20 doesn't begin to explain essence — the rich, off-beat, some might say, eccentric, essence of Gorda, California. Top PumpTucked away along the California coastline, three hours from anywhere, Gorda is the kind of town a car can speed through in mere seconds.
But for those who pull in, there is only one restaurant, one store, one incredible view, and one pricey gas station. Thats why i don't want to move to a big state like California, only visit or something beacuse the cost of living is too expensive. I think in a moment, our gas can go up to $5.00 a gallon if the gas don't stop going up. Where ever you go into big cities around the United States, you better expect to run into high gas and big rents on homes. If the gas goes up in the summer, i might just get me a mopad or motorcyle to ride to save money on gas. Thats the smart way to do it.http://abcnews.go.com/Business/story?id=4532134&page=1

Wow $5.20 for gas, even though its in California, we will soon be close to that number if we dont do something about it. We need to fight back. Even in Michigan gas is expected top get to 4 dollars a gallons thats rediculus. Its not right I guess are country really does deserve it because we put president Bush, a well known oil man into the white house that was stupid. At that press thing he was shocked by the 4 dollars a gallon, come on. I can look shocked, and say I didnt know anything about it. I think he's in on it all. We need to rise up and fight. Most of the people in the U.S just go along with it, there spineless cowards who think what the president does is right and just. The stupid Consertative Republican's try to deny it. They try to justify everything president bush does and blames the oil prices on the middle east. They need to open up their eyes and shut their mouths.

It is hard to imagine that it has not be that long ago that the price of gas was under two dollars a gallon. To see a city that is charging over five dollars a gallon is ridiculous. That sure can't be helping their economy. Who would want to go to that city and pay that kind of price. I do not care how beautiful it is. I would be curious to know how many people live in the city. Probably only the rich. You say they have a store there so someone has to run it. Would they be driving the three hours from the next city to work every day? You would only be able to afford gas in that town, no food or a place to live.
If prices keep going up everyone will be riding bikes. I can just see trying to strape on the carseats now that all under the age of eight have to be in them!

Going up north to my family's cabin there was a little IGA store and i always thought that he was the most expensive but know there is a new king in gas prices. Gas prices are insane, i wish it was nice out so i could get my ten speed out and start riding that around the town but i cant go everywhere on a bike. But there are items out there that help your car with gas mileage. My dad came across a item you but on your engine and it cleans the engine and increases gas mileage by 25% to 50% we did the math and we would be saving close to 200$ a month. people need to start using these items to help themselves.
